SOUTH TEXAS STATE CHAMPIONSHIP
The 94B Navy (DI) won the South Texas State Championship  held here in Austin. The tournament took place the weekends of December 6th and December 13th. The boys played and won 4 games, allowing only one goal. The boys beat Lonestars 94 Red 1-0, beat Texas Premier FC Blue 3-0, beat Houstonians FC 93/94 3-1, and beat Premier Panthers 5-0. WESTERN DISTRICT CHAMPIONSHIP
The AUCSC 90 Boys Black team won the 2004 STYSA Western District Championship December 5th at North East Metro Park. The championship games were played against some very tough opponents and harsh weather. The 90 B Black team will next travel to Corpus Christi on Dec. 11th for the State Finals. This will be the second trip to the State Finals for the team in three years. The 90 B Black took third place in the State finals for the 2002 season. Congratulations to the 90B Black for a wonderful season and best of luck in the State Finals.
DALLAS TEXANS FALL FESTIVAL SUCCESS
Recently the Girls' Junior Program took a trip to Dallas to compete in the Dallas Texans Fall Festival, a prestigious pre-Thanksgiving tournament.

All of the girls teams showed well in all matches, with the 92 Girls Navy and 93 Girls Navy playing their way to the title of Champion.

This tournament was the 92 Girls Navy's second success in Dallas this season. A great acheivement by the girls.

In addition, the 93 & 94 Girls Navy teams have earned the opportunity from their league performances to compete for the South Texas D1 State Finals in Houston the weekend of December 11/12th. Good luck to these teams as they represent our club in the South Texas D1 Championships.

Of note the 91 girls Blue had an excellent weekend and just fell short of the championship losing in the final. Great job from the 91 Girls Blue.


90G BLUE FIRST AT FALL SHOOT OUT
The 90 Girls Blue won first place at the Premier SC Fall Shoot Out. The girls competed in the U15/U16 Division One bracket, achieving a record of 4 wins and one tie. Playing in mud and more mud, the girls did a great job and represented our club well with good sportsmanship, superior skills, and great teamwork!
88G BLUE PLACE SECOND
The 88 Girls Blue team attended the Missouri City 23rd Annual Friendship Cup on October 10-11, 2004. Despite only having 11 players attend, the team won their first three games: 7-0, 2-1, 5-1. In the final, one of the players was taken off in an ambulance, leaving the team with ten players. After a hard fought battle, the girls placed second, losing 0-3 in the final.
SUCCESS AT THE PLDC
Many of our Premier and Division I teams participated in the Plano Labor Day Cup and performed well. Special congratulations to the 88 Boys Navy team, which placed first in the Gold Division. The 94 Boys Navy team made it to the semi-finals in the Gold Division. In addition, these boys teams made it to the quarterfinals in their respective divisions: 87 Boys Navy (Gold), 89 Boys Navy (Gold), 91 Boys Navy (Gold), and 92 Boys Blue (Silver). Great job!

Additionally, congratulations to the following girls teams for their performance at the Plano Labor Day Cup: 92 Girls Navy - 1st Place (Silver), 93 Girls Navy - Semi-finalist (Gold), 91 Girls Navy - Semi-finalist (Gold), 94 Girls Blue - Quarterfinalist (Silver), 93 Girls Blue - Quarterfinalist (Silver), 90 Girls Navy - Quarterfinalist (Gold).


89G BLUE WIN AGGIELAND
The AU Capitals 89 G Blue team played in the Aggieland Kick-off Classic Tournament the weekend of August 28-29. In their first competitive games of the season, the team placed first while only conceeding 2 goals in four games. The club and the team wishes K. Fisher and C. Torres speedy recoveries from injuries sustained on the weekend trip. Great job on a great start to the season girls!
93G NAVY WIN HEATWAVE
On August 15, 2004, the AU Capitals 93 G Navy team won the U12 bracket of the Texas Heatwave Kick-off Classic Tournament in Houston. The team won the finals by beating the 2004 Spring Season STYSA Champion, Albion Hurricanes, in a shoot out. Congratulations Girls!! Below are the scores from the games.

BRENHAM HAMMER CUP
During the second weekend in August, three girls teams played in the Brenham Hammer Cup. The 93 Girls Red finished second, losing in the final game 0-1. The 93 Girls Black also finished in second place during the tournament. The 90 Girls Black finished first, winning all four games and allowing only one goal.
PE WAIVER
If you are trying to get a PE waiver for AISD for the fall semester, below is some important information.

1) You must be in a select program. Sorry, AISD will not allow rec players to get the waiver.
2) Middle school students need one semester per year. High school need 3 total semesters
3) Only 2 credits can be used for graduation
4) Credit will be pass/fail. No grade points will be awarded.
5) Student must meet the following criteria to pass:
  a. 90% attendance
  b. 100% of journal assignments completed.(1 per week)
  c. On time and prepared for training 90% of the time.
  d. Show goodsportsmanship 100% of time.
6) If your child participates in a school organized sport, PE waivers are not necessary as the school team participation counts toward their PE credit.
7) Grade reports will be sent in every 6 weeks.

92B NAVY WIN NATIONALS
The AU Capitals '92 Navy Boys team has added yet another achievement to their long list of successes! This team has qualified for state all four seasons they have played together, finishing runner-up twice and winning the state title in Spring 2003. This June they won 1st place at US Club Soccer Regionals in Georgia, which earned them a spot at Nationals in North Carolina last week. Through the Regional and National tournaments they came up against state and regional championship teams from across the country (Georgia, Louisiana, Florida, New Jersey, Oregon, Illinois), including the 2nd and 6th ranked teams in the nation. After several hard-fought wins, they advanced to the finals, and on Sunday, July 25th won the National Cup for the U12 Premier Boys!

PIKE'S PEAK
Both the 92G Navy and 90G Navy both did well in bracket play, thereby advancing to the semi-finals. Though, in the semi-final game, both teams lost.

After finishing 1st in state in the USYS National Cup, the AU Capitals '91 B Navy team went out on the road to sharpen their skills in Colorado Springs, Colorado, July 21 to 25, where they amassed a record of 5-0-1. The team came in 1st in the U13 Boys bracket with an impressive showing against teams hailing from Colorado, Nebraska, and California while playing on the beautiful pitch at the U.S. Air Force Academy. Congratulations on a job well done!
