SCHOOL INFORMATION OFFICERS:
AUCSC is looking for volunteers to act as School Information Officers. These officers will be the first point of contact between AUCSC and your respective school. We would like to have at least two contacts in all south Austin schools.

You will be tasked to market AUCSC in your school by supplying registration information, advertising tournaments, sponsoring PTA meetings and anything else that will get the AUCSC name to the parents of your school. You will work directly with the AUCSC Communications officer and the school principal, vice-principal and PTA president.

You may also be asked to organize a registration sign up session at your school with the principal's permission. If you are interested, please contact Homer Portillo for more information.

FOOD AND BLOOD DRIVE UPDATE:
Due to the wet weather, the Blood Drive during 3v3 Funfest Challenge Weekend Tournament has been cancelled and will be moved to another date. Just a reminder that the 3v3 Funfest is not only about soccer. During both weekends, we will benefit the Capital Area Food Bank by sponsoring a TUNA and PEANUT BUTTER FOOD DRIVE during the tournament. So, even if you are not participating, make plans to come by with your tuna and peanut butter donations. While you are there, watch a game and have a hot dog or fajita.

Will be re-scheduled. The January 17-18, 2004 Challenge Weekend will benefit the Blood and Tissue Center of Central Texas by sponsoring a BLOOD DRIVE during Saturday's games from 10 am to 2pm. While those playing in the tournament have a valid excuse not to give, everyone else should make plans to donate that weekend. Call the office at 899-1049 to schedule a donation. Donations usually take 20-30 minutes. The Holiday season is a great time for giving and the center is usually in need of donations during that time. Donation qualifications are available at the following website. http://www.bloodandtissue.org/html/donor.htm

Please mark your calendars now for these two great events for AUCSC.
