1) Who are we going to play?
The AUCSC Rec+ teams will play the other teams formed from our organization, the Rec+ teams from the 7 other Rec+ participating clubs in town and some games with AUCSC recreational teams.
2) When are we going to train & where?
Training will be twice weekly and will last 90 minutes. It will be held at Westcreek Field #3 (closest to Small Middle School).
3) Who will the trainers be?
The training sessions will be led by AUCSC staff and be assisted by the team parent coaches for that age group.
4) Are teams allowed to sign up or is it an individual basis?
AUCSC's Rec+ program is a developmental focused program. Teams are formed from within the program participants to achieve parity. All players are considered members of the group as a whole and teams are formed from within the group. The Rec+ program is open to all U9 and U10 players and teams are formed from all program participants without regard to their original recreational team. 5) Will the players in the teams rotate positions?
The philosophy driving the program is that of "player development". To this end, we will endeavor to expose the players to many different challenges on the soccer field.
6) What is the philosophy of the play? Is it to play to win or to develop players?
Developing technical competency and a passion for the game are the main principles of our philosophy. We will always play to win every game; however, the value of what happened within the game will always overshadow the value of the final result.
7) Will the # of players on the field stay the same?
For the Fall 2004 and Spring 2005 seasons all teams will play 8v8. In the future we will follow the recreational guidelines regarding number of players on the field and field size so we will be playing 6v6 in the Fall 2005 season and beyond.
8) How many players will there be on the roster?
We will target 10 players per roster.
9) How will the players be assigned to the teams?
Once players confirm interest, we will hold several observation days to assess players and to determine where they will best fit within the Rec+ team organization. These will be conducted in late May, early June.
10) What are the rules on playing time?
"Half of Each Half" playing time rule will be guaranteed. Injury and disciplinary action to a player are the only exceptions.
11) How far will we travel?
All travel will be within the Austin area. Potentially as far north as Round Rock - no further south than South Austin. Approx 1/2 of games are projected to be at home and 1/2 away.
12) How many games will we play?
This is dependant on the number of teams in the final program schedule from participating clubs and Tournament play. But, approximately 15-20 games is a good estimate, including tournaments.
13) What's the situation with tournaments?
AUCSC Rec+ teams will be encouraged to play 2-3 tournaments per season and they will always be entered in Competitive, Open or Rec+ brackets. A list of available tournaments will be recommended to all teams as part of the season scheduling process and no games will be scheduled for these dates so teams can attend these tournaments if they and their teams desire. bad credit payday loans
14) What if my team doesn't want to go a tournament but I want to go?
There is the potential to go with another Rec+ team as a guest player for that tournament.
15) Can we request to be on the same team as all my friends?
In order to achieve the desired level of team parity across all the Rec+ teams in a particular age group, you may not necessarily be assigned to the same team as those that you request to play with. Training is as a group so you will certainly see your friends during practices, but teams are re-formed each season. Гинекология боли в внизу живота. можайск.
Player development focuses on the development of the individual player, not the development of the team. We understand that team unity and cohesion is very important, but the primary objective of the Rec+ program is the positive growth of each individual player.
Please see #17 and #4 for more details.
16) How much is it?
The registration fee is $275 per player per season plus an additional $31 for a new Nike uniform. This is the same, improved quality uniform that will be used as in the recreational league. This $275 plus $31 fee includes the normal AUCSC registration fee and the equivalent of 2 nights/week of Academy (formerly Centre of Excellence) training.
17) How will teams be formed?
Rec+ teams will be formed each season to ensure competitive parity of all rostered teams. Team rosters will be recreated each season and players will play with different teammates each season. This is to ensure that each player has the opportunity to develop individually and to make the program exciting and different for the participants.
New Players desiring to participate will attend a pre-season assessment conducted by club staff assess playing characteristics. If there are enough players for multiple teams, players will be rostered equitably among the teams. Ideally, we will target 10 players on a team roster. Rosters will be adhered to during the season.
18) What if my player changes his mind before the season/after a few games?
Before the recreational registration deadline there is the possibility that the player can be assigned back to a recreational league team. After the recreational registration deadline the player will be registered to his/her Rec+ roster until that season has concluded.
19) What if players don't regularly attend practices or games?
Part of the requirement of the Rec+ is committed attendance to training and games. If a player is not prepared to make the commitment to the program, then this program may not appropriate for the player.
20) What will the level of competition be?
The games we have experienced have provided a high level of play, which has provided our teams with a healthy balance of competition, challenge and fun.
21) Will the formed teams play each other?
There will be weekends when selected Rec+ teams will compete against each other.
22) How many teams will we form?
We intend to limit each age and gender group at approximately 30-40 players to ensure program quality and resource alignment. We will roster 3-4 teams from this number.
23) What interest have you had in the Travel League thus far?
The first year of Rec+ (aka Travel League) was a resounding success. During our first year we have identified areas we can improve to further enhance the Rec+ experience and the effectiveness of the training.
24) What happens if 2 rosters are full and we have an additional 4 players?
In this case we could elect to build rosters with 11 or 12 players, but teams of 10 players each are optimal.
25) Will the Rec+ be Co-ed?
We desire to maintain age and gender pure teams, but girls may elect to play on boys teams.
26) Is it essential for players interested in playing select soccer in the future to be playing in Rec+?
Absolutely not. The Rec+ program is a developmental program for U9 and U10 players that desire professional training.
27) Who will the team coaches be? Can I request a specific coach?
The team coaches will be selected from experienced AUCSC coaches who indicate they wish to participate in the Rec+ program. Coaches are assigned to a team after the teams have been formed so requests for a specific coach cannot be honored.
